Residential Pool Care Questions
What to Expect from Weekly Service
What is included in weekly residential pool care? +
Weekly residential pool care typically includes skimming, brushing, vacuuming as needed, basket checks, water testing, chemical balancing, visible equipment review, and service reporting. The goal is to keep the pool clean, balanced, and consistently monitored.
Are chemicals included in the weekly service rate? +
It depends on the pricing model you choose. The most common option includes standard water-balancing chemicals in the weekly rate: chlorine disinfectants, muriatic acid, and soda ash. Additional chemicals are billed separately per dose as needed. These might include conditioner (cyanuric acid), algaecide, phosphate remover, clarifier, or heavier shock treatments such as those used to treat an algae bloom. There is also an option to have all chemicals billed per dose, including the standard balancing chemicals. Michael will walk through both options during the assessment.
Do you clean the pool every visit? +
Yes. Michael cleans the pool and checks the water chemistry during regular service visits. A good weekly visit should address what you can see in the pool and what is happening with the water.
How will I receive my pool service report? +
Michael uses a professional pool service app to send a service report by email after every visit. The report includes water chemistry readings, work completed, photos, and any recommended follow-up work. You get a clear record of every visit, delivered to your inbox automatically.
Will Michael tell me before doing extra work? +
Yes. If extra work is recommended, Michael confirms it with you before completing it. You should understand what is being done, why it is needed, and what it costs before anything additional is started.
Are weekly service and filter cleaning the same thing? +
No. Weekly service keeps the pool clean, balanced, and monitored on a regular schedule. Filter cleaning is a separate maintenance task that helps the filtration system work properly. All pools need filter cleaning periodically in addition to weekly care, typically every three to four months. As a one-time introductory offer, the first filter cleaning for new clients is 50% off the regular price.
